  10.   Pegase is a highly optimized MPEG audio encoder, based upon the
  11.   ISO/MPEG source code.

  14.          PEGASE DOESN'T SUPPORT LAYER 3, AND WILL NEVER DO

  17.     But before complaining about that, try the layer 2 by yourself.
  18.     It is able to compete with Layer 3 (mp3) now, but the encoded
  19.     files remain a bit larger (+25%, because you still have to use
  20.     a bitrate greater or equal to 160 kbits/s).
